Today’s news

Thursday May 29th – Much like the blog today, today’s main news surrounds CM Punk, as always, he speaks and the wrestling world stops and has to talk about it.

Latest is talk that the former WWE Champion is looking to go back to Ring of Honor where he first honed his craft, to be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if he did, he obviously doesn’t want to go back to WWE so you can’t expect the guy to do anything but wrestle, it’s all he knows.

Tuesday May 27th – So, the final Raw before Payback was last night, and what did we learn? Daniel Bryan isn’t giving his title up easily but now he has to think about his wife. The Shield and Evolution is going to be a war.

Alicia Fox likes to cover herself in soda and Adam Rose doesn’t like it when you touch his lemon, other than that it’s business as usual as the fall out from Extreme Rules lands in Chicago on Sunday.

Monday May 26th – It’s finally here, the week of Payback…Raw tonight is set to be explosive with many matches set to be announced and Daniel Bryan set to be there in person.

Worth staying up till 1am for? I think so…

Also there is speculation going around today that Layla El could be leaving WWE soon after she stated in a recent interview that she was hoping to move back to the UK this year, for good.

Sunday May 25th – Today’s WWE news surrounds the speculation ahead of tomorrows Monday Night Raw…Could Chris Jericho or Brock Lesnar be set for a shock WWE return?

Will Daniel Bryan surrender his title? Will the title even be on the line at Payback? The speculation continues.

Saturday May 24th – Today’s news surrounds last nights Smackdown where The Usos face Erick Rowan and Luke Harper and the match ended abruptly when Bray attempted to get involved so John Cena then hit Rowan with the AA.

It is widely speculated that The Usos v Erick Rowan and Luke Harper will be announced for Payback Monday night on Raw.

Also Summer Rae continued to make enemies after she refused to could the pin for Nikki and Eva but did a fast count when Cameron pinned Eva.

Bo Dallas made his Smackdown debut and Hulk Hogan made an appearance live from London.

Friday May 23rd – Today’s WWE news looks at last night’s live event in Belfast where Luke Harper and Erick Rowan won the tag team titles from the Usos, but Finlay came out and the match was restarted and The Uso’s retained.

Also this is the line up for tonight’s Smackdown:

-An appearance by Hulk Hogan, Bo Dallas v Sin Cara, Batista v Dolph Ziggler no DQ, Cameron and Naomi v Nikki Bella and Eva Marie, Sheamus v Alberto Del Rio and The Usos v Erick Rowan and Luke Harper.

Thursday May 22nd – Today’s WWE news surrounds Scott Hall as many people have voiced their concern for him at present.

The Hall of Famer pulled out of a meet and greet with fans a few weeks ago because he was in a “dark place” and couldn’t bring himself to get out of bed. Now it seems Jake Roberts is one of the people concerned for him as speculation surrounding his illness increases.

Wednesday May 21st – Today’s WWE news looks back at last night’s Main Event as Cesaro and Mark Henry collided, as did Naomi and Aksana.

As well as this it seems Goldberg wants to return to WWE to face Triple H…Watch this space…

Tuesday May 20th – Today’s WWE news looks at last night’s Raw where is was announced The Shield will face Evolution in a No Holds Barred Elimination Tag Team match next week at Payback, whilst Paige and Alicia look set to go one on one and Adam Rose and Jack Swagger look set to face off as well as RVD facing Wade Barrett for the IC title.

The big news of the night though is the fact that Stephanie said Daniel Bryan will be live on Raw next week and he will be forced to surrender the WWE title because it’s “best for business.”

Monday May 19th – Today’s news surrounds tonight’s Raw, live from London and WWE are set to make an important announcement regarding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

As well as this we have more build up to next week’s Payback, what will Evolution do to The Shield? How will Bray react to John Cena accepting his Last Man Standing match?

What is brewing between Rusev and Big E? And will Jack Swagger and Adam Rose finally go at it? Find out tonight!

Sunday May 18th – Today’s WWE news surrounds WWE’s release of the dates for their next European Tour which kicks off on November 5th.

As well as this there is a special segment planned for tomorrow night’s Raw live from London surrounding Adam Rose and his RoseBuds.

Saturday May 17th – Today’s news surrounds last night’s Smackdown where John Cena accepted Bray Wyatt’s challenge for a Last Man Standing match at Payback.

As well as that WWE signed a deal with NBC yesterday and it seems it has cost WWE a lot of money. Shares in WWE have gone down over the past 24 hours and it seems WWE could be in trouble if the shares continue to drop at this rate.

Friday May 16th – It’s Friday which means only one thing! Smackdown, tonight’s episode was missing some big players, least of all Daniel Bryan and The Shield and wasn’t one of the greatest episodes of all time. But it’s worth a watch as the build up to Payback continues.

Also at last night’s WWE event in Newcastle, Roman Reigns recovered enough to take on Randy Orton in a pretty brutal match that saw Seth and Dean called in as reinforcements again but Roman hit the spear for his second win in two nights.

Thursday May 15th – Today’s news looks at last night’s opening night of WWE’s European Tour where Roman Reigns faced Randy Orton in a Steel Cage match and the powerhouse of The Shield sustained a facial injury during a bad botch in the match but managed to recover enough to hit the spear for the win.

Wednesday May 14th – Today’s news surrounds the names that are possibly about to be inducted into the 2015 Hall of Fame, one of them is Mickie James the only female Triple crown champion in history and Rikishi as well as The Rock, at long last.

Also last night on Main Event WWE announced that there would be another major announcement on Monday night Raw live from London regarding the WWE title.

Tuesday May 13th – Today’s WWE news looks at last night’s Raw where Daniel Bryan announced that he needs neck surgery and may not even make it to Payback. John Cena could be facing Bray Wyatt in a last man standing match and Evolution and The Shield will face each other in rematch of their six man tag match from Extreme Rules.

Rusev and Big E also seem to have stepped into a feud and has Alicia Fox quit the company? Stay tuned for Smackdown spoilers tomorrow.

Monday May 12th – Today’s news surrounds a busy week for the superstars of WWE as their European Tour is set to kick off, the superstars head to Glasgow on Wednesday and Rome on Thursday before Monday Night Raw from the UK next week.

Superstars like Daniel Bryan, The Shield, Big E and Kane will be missing from this week’s Smackdown as they get set for Wednesday’s live show but it seems The Miz and Summer Rae could be returning to WWE during the tour.

Also Monday Night Raw happens tonight, how will Kane and Daniel Bryan back up last week? How will The Shield react to Evolution stealing and performing their finisher on Roman and will John Cena make an appearance this week…Will there be a divas match…There is only one way to find out!

Sunday May 11th – I should mention  in today’s news that tone of my biggest heroes of the wrestling industry and the only woman to have the triple crown Mickie James has announced that she is pregnant.

Also today rumours surrounding the unification of the US and IC titles have surfaces again, no one knows how much truth there is to this, but it seems it is something WWE are discussing.

Saturday May 10th – Last night’s Smackdown saw Evolution pick apart The Shield further as Batista secured the count-out win over Seth Rollins and dragged him back into the ring to perform the Batista bomb.

Dean Ambrose failed to recapture the United States title in his match against Sheamus but Roman Reigns did get the win over the world’s strongest man Mark Henry.

Friday May 9th  – Today’s news unsurprisingly sees that Evolution are set to gain a new member, well we all know that if The Shield weren’t splitting up then Evolution would remain their enemies after Payback so someone would have to replace Batista and it’s looking more and more likely that this someone could be Sheamus.

Also, Smackdown is tonight and Sheamus defends his title against the former Champion Dean Ambrose.

Thursday May 8th – Today’s WWE news surrounds The Shield and the news that because of their babyface reaction WWE has now decided to delay their split and allow them to continue as a stable.

It also seems that Sin Cara and Sheamus had an altercation backstage and Sin Cara got the better of The United States Champion.

Wednesday May 7th – The WWE news today surrounds Shawn Michaels interview with Jim Ross on the Ross Report where he confirmed that it was decided 4 hours before the actual show that Brock would be ending the streak.

This ends a lot of theories that it wasn’t supposed to happen, or Undertaker called it in the ring.

Tuesday May 6th – The first Raw after Extreme Rules took place tonight and it saw Dean Ambrose lose his United States title after holding it for 351 days.

It also saw Adam Rose make his Raw debut, Daniel Bryan and Kane have another showdown, The Wyatts defeat The Shield and Evolution against dissect The Shield and deliver a triple-power-bomb to Roman.

Looks like the build up to Payback has well and truly began, although, there was no divas match! What is this?

Monday May 5th – How on earth am I expected to find the words to describe last night? It was the best WWE Pay-per-view in a very long time. It was incredible and it lived up to the name Extreme Rules!

The Shield defeated Evolution, Seth flew out of the stands to take out Triple H and Randy Orton whilst Roman speared Batista in the ring for the win.

Daniel Bryan retained his World Title after driving Kane from backstage in a forklift, Kane set fire to a table, Bryan knocked him into it and set him on fire and pinned him off the knee to the face.

Paige retained after the Scorpion Crosslock, Cesaro pinned RVD after the Neutralizer, Rusev defeated R-Truth and Xavier Woods, Bray Wyatt defeated John Cena and Bad News Barrett defeated Big E to make history and make two WWE British Champions…

Who else is looking forward to Raw tonight??

Sunday May 4th – Tonight is finally the night! Extreme Rules is here…Evolution v The Shield, Daniel Bryan v Kane, John Cena v Bray Wyatt! It’s going to be an incredible night!

Today’s news also sees Jim Ross say that Shawn Michaels will drop a bombshell regarding the Brock/Undertaker match at Wrestlemania. Tune in to the Ross Report Tuesday Night to find out.

Saturday May 3rd – Today’s news surrounds last night’s Smackdown where Dean Ambrose successfully defended his US Title in a fatal-four way match that was ordered by The Authority.

Also today Chris Jericho has stated in an interview that he understands CM Punk he felt the same way when he left WWE a few years ago and it took him two and a half years to return, so he thinks Punk may just need time.

Friday May 2nd – It’s Friday! That can only mean one thing….Friday Night Smackdown and tonight’s is the final one before Extreme Rules…The Authority have forced Dean Ambrose to defend his title in a fatal four way match and Jack Swagger and Rob Van Dam go one on one.

Also, we have the contract signing for the WeeLC match, Daniel Bryan will address Kane, Damien Sandow and Dolph Ziggler do battle again and Alexander Rusev reeks more havoc.

All that to look forward to tonight, just days before Extreme Rules.

Thursday May 1st – Today’s WWE news is dominated by the build up to Extreme Rules as it has been announced Cesaro, Swagger and Van Dam will battle in a triple threat match on Sunday.

Also WWE is pushing talent to name their own finishers as Rosa Mendez now has the Rosa thorn and Curtis Axel has called his the Axehole.

Wednesday April 30th – The final event before Sunday’s Extreme Rules was recorded last night and luckily, Dean Ambrose will be walking into the Pay-per-view with his title.

Smackdown was an explosive affair as Curtis Axel cost Ryback the United States title and it seems the former Paul Heyman guys are no longer on the same page….

Tuesday April 29th – Last night’s Raw is dominating today’s news as Kane tried to kidnap Brie Bella, The Usos retained their tag titles, Bad News Barrett will face Big E on Sunday and The Shield Stood tall after a beat down from Evolution.

Dean will now be forced into a three on one handicap United States Title match on Smackdown as he has now become the longest reigning champion of the modern era.

Monday April 28th – It’s the final episode of Raw tonight before Extreme Rules and it’s about to become extreme!

Not only do we have a tag team title match, we have the return of Ric Flair…Daniel Bryan could make an appearance…As well as Paige and Tamina. Not only that but John Cena and Bray Wyatt will continue their back and forth and we have the semi final of the IC title tournament…Raw is set to be explosive!

Sunday April 27th – We are just a week away from Extreme Rules and a tag team match has been announced for Raw on Monday night, meaning the rematch between the two tag teams of The Usos and RyBaxel will be taking place on the kick off show next Sunday and we could see new tag team champions.

Also it has been reported that Stephanie McMahon was furious that the Raw script was leaked, apparently WWE offices don’t use paper scripts any more so this one must have been left by a member of the crew at the show.

Saturday April 26th – Today’s news sees the announcement of the Tag Team title match for Extreme Rules as Jimmy and Jey Uso are set to go two on two with RyBaxel on the kick off show.

Also, Mickie James has a new DVD out where she talks about the mistakes she made in her career and exactly what she did to make Vince McMahon angry…

And Ric Flair has topped the list for the best talkers in WWE…somehow CM Punk was only at 16…I demand a recount!

Friday April 25th – So, Ric Flair is making his Raw return on Monday night? Coincidence that he was the fourth member of Evolution and now they are reformed and look to be storming into Extreme Rules? I think not.

Flair will probably play a main role in the final build up before Sunday’s pay-per-view as well as that we have Smackdown tonight, which judging by the matches set to take place ( Cesaro v Swagger) it should be worth the wait.

Thursday April 24th – Today the WWE Universe is buzzing because CM Punk favourited a tweet of two kids dressed up as him and the late Ultimate Warrior.

Not sure how this is classed as news, we all knew he was still on Twitter or he would have removed his account, so he’s reading tweets and he favourited one! Does this mean he’ll be back on Monday? Of course it does!

Whilst we are referencing CM Punk we may as well look at AJ Lee who it was said should be returning during WWE’s European Tour as she has been advertised for the shows, but right now it seems there is no actual schedule for her return.

Wednesday April 23rd – Today’s news surrounds Daniel Bryan and the fact that he was legitimately injured by Kane after the attack on Raw and this has now made their match at Extreme Rules, an Extreme Rules one.

Paul Heyman’s promo on Raw made a reference to CM Punk and that is why WWE went to commercial part way through.

Tuesday April 22nd – Last night’s Raw dominates today’s news as Daniel Bryan was taken out by Kane, Goldust and Cody Rhodes my be about to break up.

Cesaro was beaten for the first time under Heyman…Ala via count out but he now can’t fight for the IC Title at Extreme Rules and John Cena was completely dominated in a three on one handicap match with the Wyatts.

Also it was announced last night that sadly Daniel Bryan’s father passed away just before Raw but the WWE World Heavyweight Champion still made an appearance on Raw.

Monday April 21st – Today’s WWE new surrounds the build up to tonight’s Raw, last week Evolution left The Shield in their wake making the WWE Universe sit up and realise they had arrived.

Kane has his mask back and Daniel Bryan is set for his Raw return, could Kane be facing Daniel Bryan at Extreme Rules with the WWE World Title on the line?

We also have the semi finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament as Cesaro looks like the favourite to go on an face Big E at next Sunday’s Extreme Rules.

Also Tamina secured her shot at the Divas Championship at Main Event, how will she approach the current Champion Paige?

Sunday April 20th – Today brings some good news for Shield fans as Roman Reigns picked up the biggest singles win of his career last night on the final stop on WWE’s tour of Saudi Arabia, he hit the Superman Punch followed by the spear to pin the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton.

Also, could Kurt Angle be looking for a WWE return? The former World Champion’s contract at TNA is up in September and he said he doesn’t know what he will do next but he is wide open to a WWE return…Watch this space!

Saturday April 19th – It’s official, Triple H made it official on last night’s Smackdown, The Shield will face Evolution in two weeks at Extreme Rules.

That isn’t all the news coming out of The Shield today as Dean Ambrose made a rare title defence at a live event this week. He is just eight days off becoming the longest reigning US Champion of the modern era after successfully defending his title in a fatal four way match against Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes.

Friday April 18th – Today’s news centres around tonight’s Smackdown where Triple H is set to challenge The Shield to a six man tag match at Extreme Rules and Hornswoggle and El Torito go one on one.

Thursday April 17th – Today’s news hears that AJ was supposed to claim her re-match clause against Paige for the Divas title at Extreme Rules, but AJ herself asked for some time off and so has been replaced by AJ.

Summer Rae is also off TV for the next month along with The Miz as the two are filming The Marine 4 and Rey Mysterio is on holiday in Hawaii as he is set to make the transition from superstar to ambassador.

Finally Brock Lesnar v Daniel Bryan could be set for Summerslam as it was announced that the breaker of the streak will not be at Extreme Rules.

Wednesday April 16th – And today’s news look at the announcement that Tamina will face Paige at Extreme Rules for the Divas Championship, there is no news from WWE regarding AJ Lee and why she hasn’t been on TV since the night after Wrestlemania but it should hopefully become clear in time.

Tuesday April 15th – The fall out from last night’s Raw leads today’s headlines as John Cena challenged Bray Wyatt to a steel cage match at Extreme Rules, Evolution were officially reformed and Paige began her reign as champion in the best possible way.

Daniel Bryan wasn’t on Raw this week because he was on his honeymoon following his marriage to Brie Bella on Friday but Kane took his mask back and vowed to send Daniel to the fiery depths of hell!

Monday April 14th – Today’s news looks at the build up to tonight’s live episode of Raw, the episode it’s self is sent to be a tribute to Ultimate Warrior, whilst we also have the fall out from last week’s epic Raw After Mania.

Will AJ Lee win her title back from Paige? How will Triple H respond to that spear from Roman Reigns? Will Dean Ambrose be healed in time? Will Cesaro and Swagger continue their feud and will WWE mention Swagger’s recent title win?

There’s only one way to find out…

Sunday April 13th – Today’s news sees WWE announce that this Monday’s episode of Raw will be dedicated to the late, great Ultimate Warrior. The three hour epic is set to include tributes from current wrestlers and friends of the legend.

CM punk has been advertised as being a guest host on American show Maron which airs from May and Tyson Kidd is set to be repackaged and re-debut under a new persona after months of working in the gym to create the new character that Rey Mysterio thinks will impress.

Saturday April 12th – Today’s news surrounds Rey Mysterio’s interview where he talked about the original Sin Cara and the fact that if his attitude was different things would have worked out better.

It is rumoured that one of the endings of a Wrestlemania match was botched, I know what you’re thinking, no it wasn’t Undertakers or The Shields, it was the Divas match, AJ Lee was supposed to take Naomi’s hand and force her to tap but instead Naomi tapped herself. Strange.

Friday April 11th – It’s finally official, Sting has signed a deal with WWE to be a part-time superstar. The legend is thought to be coming back to wrestle Undertaker even though it is rumoured that Undertakers career is essentially over.

WWE has now decided that “pay-per-views” will no longer be referred to as “Pay-per-views” as they wont be now they are available on the network instead the Sunday event every month will be called a “special event.”

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella are set to be married today just four moths after they were engaged and three years to the day since Brie Bella won her first ever WWE title. The Divas Championship.

Thursday April 10th – Many WWE superstars have come forward to pay their respects to Ultimate Warrior following his sad passing yesterday. The cause of death is still unknown but a post-mortem is expected later today.

Onto a happier note and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan and former Divas Champion Brie Bella are set to be married tomorrow. The ceremony is expected to be part of Total Divas next season.

Wednesday April 9th- The WWE Universe is saddened today with the news that WWE Hall of Famer The Ultimate Warrior has passed away.

The 54-year-old appeared on Raw on Monday and looked healthy and well but it seems he collapsed yesterday after noon and was pronounced dead by paramedics.

Moving onto more uplifting news, it seems Evolution are going to be facing The Shield at Extreme Rules….In a War Games match, now a War Games match hasn’t been done in Wrestling for years and there will need to be an arena big enough for it, but it seems it would be the perfect match for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

Tuesday April 8th – Wow! Raw last night was insane!! We have a new Divas Champion, RVD is back…The Shield have turned face.

British WWE fans saw an amazing episode of Raw as Bad New Barrett made his in-ring return and Paige became the first woman in history to hold the NXT and WWE womens titles. And we saw the long awaited debut of Alexander Rusev.

Not only that, Cesaro is a Paul Heyman Guy! The Real American’s are history and Daniel Bryan is till Champion after The Shield saved him!

The build-up to Extreme Rules has officially began.

Monday April 7th – The fallout from last night’s epic Wrestlemania headlines today’s news as Undertakers 22 year old streak finally came to an end at the hands of Brock Lesnar.

Daniel Bryan finally over came the authority and stood tall holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. AJ Lee retained the Divas title in perhaps the worst sport of the night as they were forced out after The Undertakers streak was broken.

The Real Americans could be over after they argued following the Tag Title match and Cesaro won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

Overall Wrestlemania was thought to have delivered regardless of the results. It shocked and it surprised and that is what the fans wanted. Congrats WWE, you pulled it off.

Sunday April 6th – It’s finally here, we have made it to Mania day! The rumours are coming in thick and fast…Is CM Punk in New Orleans? Is Stone Cold Steve Austin there for a ring return? Will Sting challenge The Undertaker? Will Brock end the streak? The excitement is intensifying and finally in just a few hours we will know for sure if the whole CM Punk debacle was infact the greatest work ever!

Saturday April 5th – Ok, Contain your excitement, Wrestlemania is tomorrow night! Yes tomorrow night! We are all either watching football all the grand national today, but in the back of our minds we are all aware that the biggest event of the wrestling calendar is tomorrow night!

Also the Hall of fame induction ceremony happens tonight and streams live on the WWE Network as Ultimate Warrior, Jake Roberts, Lita, Mr T, Razor Ramon, Carlos Colon and Paul Bearer take their places amongst Wrestling’s elite.

Friday April 4th – Today’s news is dominated by confirmation of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s appearance at Wrestlemania in just two days!

Wrestlemania weekend starts in a few hours and then we have the Hall of Fame Ceremony tomorrow night before the main event Sunday night followed by the highly anticipated Raw After Mania on Monday night!

Thursday April 3rd – The big news coming out of WWE today is that apparently two of the biggest superstars in WWE history will be at Wrestlemania on Sunday…

It is believed that The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin will make an appearance on the grandest stage of them all.

Three days to go!

Wednesday April 2nd –April fools day is over, WWE played a trick on the fans. saying that John Cena had been released. He hasn’t so we can all be about out daily business.

Total Divas is apparently building towards the wedding of John Cena and Nikki Bella, the two have had relationship problems so far in the first two seasons and with Nikki’s sister Brie set to marry Daniel Bryan next week, it seems Nikki wants a wedding of her own. (Something John Cena remains adamant he wont do).

Talking of wedding news, it seems as though AJ Lee and CM Punk were engaged after all. The Best in the world and the current Divas Champion apparently became engaged on March 27th, but why did AJ wear her ring to the ring? Was that her announcing it? Or is there something else going on?

Tuesday April 1st – We have finally made it to Wrestlemania month and last night’s Raw was the final stop for WWE before New Orleans on Sunday.

The Divas match stipulations were finally announced as AJ is set to defend, Daniel Bryan attacked Triple H to build up their match on Sunday. Batista and Randy Orton went toe-to-toe as they built up their own Wrestlemania match and the Andre the Giant battle royal was built up further as Rey Mysterio made his return.

AJ Lee was also seen wearing a ring during her match with Naomi which led fans to believe the divas champion may be engaged to CM Punk. Look into it as much as you like, if it’s happening, it’s happening. AJ will announce it when she’s ready.

Monday March 31st – We have finally got here! Tonight is the last Raw before Wrestlemania and the build-up should reach a climax tonight as Daniel Bryan and John Cena are set to take on Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt.

Vickie Guerrero is set to announce the rules for her divas invitational match and Brock and The Undertaker should be scheduled to appear, plus Batista/Orton and Triple H will all be in attendance.

Who will finish the final Raw on top and go into Wrestlemania as the favourite? Ther’s only on way to find out….

Sunday March 30th – We are just a week away from Wrestlemania 30 and the excitement is finally beginning to set in. The set for the “Wrestlemania of Wrestlemanias” is being put up as we speak, WWE make their final Raw stop on the road tomorrow night as all feud’s reach boiling point.

Here is the latest card for the night:

Saturday March 29th – Today’s news has seen the rumours that Rob Van Dam is set for his WWE return over Wrestlemania weekend.

RVD is said to be joining up with WWE over the weekend and could either make his return in the Andre the Giant battle royal or on the first Raw after Wrestlemania.

The former ECW Champion will either sign a three or nine month contract to wrestle for WWE over the next few months.

Friday March 28th – Today’s WWE news surrounds the release of the original Sin Cara. The Mexican high flyer hasn’t performed for WWE for months and has instead been replaced by Hunico.

Because Sin Cara wears a mask, a lot of people haven’t noticed a big difference between the two characters and WWE want to keep the masked superstar because he brings in a lot of revenue through merchandise sales.

There is still a dispute about who actually owns the name “Sin Cara” as the real Cara continues to use the name in Mexican wrestling, whilst WWE are also claiming full ownership.

Thursday March 27th – Today’s WWE news is looking at returnees to the squared circle. After Wrestlemania season is over we could see the ring returns of both Chris Jericho and Tyson Kidd.

Kidd is currently appearing on Total Divas alongside his wife Natalya, but in a recent interview, high flyer Rey Mysterio said the long term absentee will “blow peoples minds” when he returns.

Meanwhile, Chris Jericho has usually already returned for Wrestlemania season, but this year he decided to spend more time touring with his band Fozzy and according to a recent interview, he said that “WWE appearances for now are few and far between. I still enjoy it.  When I feel there’s something interesting to me I’ll get back in wrestling, but for now I’m plenty busy with everything I’m doing.”

Wednesday March 26th – Today’s news follows that announcement for another match at Wrestlemania, The Usos will be defending their titles against not one, not two, but three tag teams as they face Rybaxel, Los Matadores and The Real Americans next weekend.

This brings the official card for Mania up to nine matches with just four superstars yet to be named in the Andre the Giant memorial Battle Royal.

Tuesday March 25th – The fallout from last night’s Raw headlines today’s news as two more matches were announced and more feud’s were built up on the penultimate Raw before Wrestlemania.

AJ Lee was informed that she would defend her title against every diva on the roster in a divas invitational match at Wrestlemania, which will include her friend and bodyguard Tamina.

And Kane finally announced the match no one wants to see as The New Age Outlaws and himself will take on The Shield at in just 12 days.

The Undertaker also had a showdown with Brock Lesnar which he won after tricking him with an empty casket and Christian won a fatal four way match against Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio giving him a IC title shot this week.

Razor Ramon was announced as the latest inductee in the 2014 Hall of Fame and Curtis Axel and Ryback withdrew from the 30-man battle Royal at Wrestlemania as it was announced they would face The Usos for the titles.

Monday March 24th – Today’s WWE news follows the build up to the penultimate Raw before Wrestlemania 30, where WWE is expected to be joined by none other than Scooby Doo and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

WWE takes a detour on “the road to Wrestlemania” in Brooklyn and has already confirmed that Brock Lesnar and Undertaker will have a face off. Daniel Bryan will be in attendance just one week after the horrific beat down he suffered at the hands of COO Triple H. The rumour is Daniel Bryan and John Cena will face Kane and Bray Wyatt.

The Shield’s Wrestlemania match could be announced as well as more names for The Andre the Giant battle royale, (Rumours state that Zebb Colter could be a part of it).

New announcement, new guest stars and unresolved rivalries head up the bill as the build up to Wrestlemania will reach a scorching climax in New York.

Sunday March 23rd – Just two weeks shy of the biggest Wrestlemania ever, and The Shield fans woke up to the news this morning that even though we all witnessed their baby face turn on Raw, there is still a plan to break-up the most dominant stable in WWE history.

The current plan is that Rollins and Ambrose will remain together for a while as a hell tag team whilst Reigns goes on to be a top face singles competitor. WWE believe that the most effective way for the team to split up would be to have Rollins and Ambrose turn on Reigns rather than the other way around.

Saturday March 22nd – Today’s WWE news follows the fall out from last night’s Smackdown….Are the Shield really injured following The New Age Outlaws sneak attack? Was Daniel Bryan only absent to sell the shoulder “injury” he suffered on Raw and what new matches will be announced Monday night on Raw, just two weeks shy of Wrestlemania 30?

Also a quick reminder that your free trial for the WWE Network ends tonight so if you have no intention of buying, end your trial today.

Friday March 21st – Today’s news sees Bret Hart weigh in on the CM Punk situation, saying as a wrestler he “respects him” and as a fan he “hopes he returns.”

He also said he could see why Punk left, he was burnt out from always giving 100%, always being on the road and wrestlers like Batista and Brock Lesnar walk into the company and get all the main even matches and plaudits without the added burden of travelling.

Also new WWE diva Emma was interviewed for the Herald Sun and claimed that WWE have banned superstars from using baby oil at live events, yes. Baby oil. Claiming that the reason for banning it was the same reason for using it in the first place, it had stopped making superstars look good on HDTV.

Thursday March 20th – Many WWE fans are disheartened this morning as they learnt that the triple threat match involving The Shield at Wrestlemania isn’t going to happen. The stable will instead face Kane and The New Age Outlaws after their feud with the Big Red Machine and when the New Age Outlaws attacked them on Smackdown this past week, the stage was set for their throw down at the showcase of the immortals.

Also today it was announced that WWE want to further away from their association with CM Punk after their new adult cartoon Slam City had him playing a main role. WWE can’t take him out completely after the show spent months in post production, but they are going to take as much of him out as they can, as well as taking him out of any of the Wrestlemania build up in the next few weeks.

Wednesday March 19th – Today’s WWE news is conflicted by reports and rumours, the Undertaker has confirmed he was in attendance for Raw on Monday and did come out to save John Cena from The Wyatts.

The on going will he sign, wont he sign with Sting seems to be going down the same path again as rumours say he has but reports say he hasn’t. UFC star Rhonda Rousey is said to be up for a match at Wrestlemania 31 and Daniel Bryan sustained a legitimate “shoulder injury” during his beat down at the hands of Triple H on this week’s episode of Raw.

Tuesday March 18th – The fallout from an explosive episode of Monday Night Raw headlines today’s WWE news as Triple H announced that the winner of Him v Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania would then headline in the main event.

He also tricked Daniel Bryan into receiving a beat down at the end of the night, leaving followers of the Yes Movement more determined than ever.

Raw also saw Naomi make her in ring return following an eye injury as she pinned the Divas Champion and more names for the Andre the Giant battle royal were announced that included Sheamus, Christian and The Big Show.

Monday March 17th – CM Punk appeared in Talking Dead last night and was introduced as “Phil Brooks better known as CM Punk” many people have speculated that the fact that Punk made no mention of WWE is because he isn’t returning, but with Wrestlemania less than three weeks away – Speculation will end on the grandest stage of them all.

Also today TMZ broke the news that Mr T. would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before promptly removing the story, it seems WWE want to release the story themselves first.

Sunday March 16th – Today’s News sees WWE announce that Rob Van Dam will be returning to action soon. The part time wrestler usually makes an appearance between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, but when he didn’t return at the January Pay-Per-View fans thought he was sitting this year out.

It is thought to be to late for RVD to return in time for Wrestlemania now, but former ECW World Champion could be returning in time for Extreme Rules.

It is also rumoured today that WWE may finally be getting around to signing Sting…Just like it was rumoured Sting would face Undertaker at this years Wrestlemania. Don’t hold your breath…

Saturday March 15th – Today’s WWE News is dominated by the fact that CM Punk has been featured on three Wrestlemania 30 t-shirts, this gives fans further hope of a return for “the best in the world” but at the same time many people have already stated that Punk and WWE could have authorised the shirts before his walk out at the end of January. But at least he’s featured!

There are also rumours today that Alexander Rusev could make his debut on “the grandest stage of them all” Wrestlemania, the Russian has been seen on NXT before he began to make short Raw appearances over the past few weeks, but a debut at the biggest Wrestlemania ever seems like a daunting task for anyone!

Friday March 14th – Today’s happy WWE news is that Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella have finally set a date for their wedding, just five days after Wrestlemania 30…April 11th.

The two were engaged on the final episode of Total Divas last year and the show returns this Sunday night, so fans will be able to catch up with the personal lives of the popular couple.

Rumours are also circulating that following Scooby-doo and the mystery of Wrestlemania’s success, the crime fighting dog could be making an appearance on an upcoming episode of Raw, so keep your eyes pealed.

Thursday March 13th – Today’s news is dominated by reports that Stone Cold Steve Austin could make his WWE return at Wrestlemania 30.

“The Rattlesnake” is not medically cleared to wrestle but could still play a big part in what is set to be the biggest Wrestlemania ever! Early reports suggest he could play a part in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royale, this is all still yet to be confirmed.

It has also been reported today that Jim Ross and Vince McMahon are even further at odds after the legendary WWE commentator told an embarrassing “sharting” story about Vince on live tv.

JBL then made a dig about Ross’s commentary work on Raw, which seemed like McMahon’s reaction to the situation. It is believed that the chairman regularly feeds lines to the commentators through the headsets.

Wednesday March 12th – Today’s news follows the fall out of last night’s Main Event where both the Divas Title and the US title were on the line, but thankfully regardless of the rumours surfacing yesterday, both Dean and AJ retained their titles.

Ambrose got the win over Mark Henry after a distraction from Roman Reigns and AJ picked up the win over Natalya following the black widow. So the titles didn’t change hands….And who will they defend against at Wrestlemania?

Tuesday March 11th – And what a great day to be a wrestling fan, after one of the greatest episodes of Raw in a long time, Triple H v Daniel Bryan was announced for Wrestlemania 30 and if Bryan wins he will go on to the main event, turning it into a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

John Cena will go one on one with the king of the reapers himself Bray Wyatt….Who will walk out of this one? As the past faces the future of WWE.

And the immortal one himself Hulk Hogan announced a memorial over the top rope battle royal for the Andre the Giant memorial trophy….Big E and Ryback have already been announced as competitors for this and one of the could well win it.

We are less than four weeks away from the biggest Wrestlemania ever!! Can you feel it?

Monday March 10th – Today’s WWE news begins the build up to tonight’s WWE Raw. It has been confirmed that Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker will make appearances tonight, as we are less than a month away from the biggest wrestling event of the year!

There was also a fake CM Punk twitter going around @PhilBrooksMMA which was later confirmed to be fake. Fans thought this could have shed some light on what CM Punk is set to be doing with his career now his WWE one seems to be over.

The account’s cover picture was photoshopped though and as far as any real CM Punk fan is concerned, his contract doesn’t run out until July, He can return at any point until then. Keep the faith!

Sunday March 9th – Today’s WWE news surrounds WWE revealing the Wrestlemania poster, Hulk Hogan, Bray Wyatt, John Cena, The Undertaker, Batista, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar and Triple H all grace the cover for the greatest ever Wrestlemania leaving fans wondering, where is CM Punk?

Now this might put an end to all the rumours that the Chicago born superstar will be returning, it also might not. If CM Punk’s return on “the grandest stage of them all” was supposed to be a surprise then why would WWE advertise it?

This for me just furthers the idea that “the best in the world” will be at Wrestlemania 30.

Saturday March 8th – Today sees the names of the talent to be pushed after Wrestlemania 30 is over with Daniel Bryan and John Cena top of the list.

Batista will be sticking around, which makes it that little more likely that he will win the World title, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton make up the list of what is fast becoming some of the biggest names in the future of the WWE.

Friday March 7th – Today’s news surrounds the status of WWE Main Event and whether or not WWE will begin a Cruiserweight show on their newly established network.

As far as is known, WWE Main Event will continue to be live on the network until Wrestlemania, it seems it is like a trial run and is more than likely to continue that way following April’s show piece. As regards to The Criuserweight show, this was first rumoured nearly three years ago when the Network was first mentioned, and is still a rumour, as of right now, WWE have no plans to make this show official.

Thursday March 6th – Today I thought I would take the time to talk about the fact that  Paul Bearer is being inducted into the Hall of Fame, class of 2014.

Now whilst I agree that this is very respectful of WWE following his untimely death last year, he should have been inducted whilst he was alive. He made the Undertaker and Kane what they are today and both are going into the hall of fame themselves one day, but Paul Bearer didn’t live to see it and I think this is disgraceful.

Looking back at all the contests he took part in, he was one of the most underrated managers of all time and fitted in so well with The Deadman. There is no question that The Undertaker should induct him and not like everyone else. He should bow his head, do his gesture, let the bell toll and the lights go out, just the way it should be and the way he would have wanted it. RIP Paul Bearer.

Wednesday March 5th – Today’s WWE news is centred around Rey Mysterio not being present for Raw or Smackdown taping this week, the Mexican superstar was rumoured to be injured last week when he fell onto his knee but has competed since and looked fine.

The only other explanation is that he has been given time off because he isn’t rapped up in any storylines at the moment. Much like AJ Lee, she was at Raw on Monday night but WWE decided to give her the night off to stop fans chanting her boyfriends name at her all the way through her match.

Tuesday March 4th – Last Night’s Raw was an explosive one, with Wrestlemania just 33 days away now, The Shield look like their break-up could lead to that triple treat match at Wrestlemania, whilst Daniel Bryan and Triple H look like they will also face off on the grandest stage of them all.

Whilst the promise that CM Punk would return seemed to just be a rumour as the Chicago Born superstar was no where in sight at the All State arena, but that didn’t stop Paul Heyman cutting a fantastic promo about him to build up the match between Brock Lesnar and Undertaker at April’s show piece.

It still remains to be seen if Punk will make a return now and fit into WWE’s Wrestlemania plans, last night was the perfect opportunity, leaving fans feeling like the “Cult of Personality” could be gone from our screens for good.

Monday March 3rd – Today WWE fans awoke to the news that CM Punk would be returning to Monday Night Raw in his hometown of Chicago tonight.

“The Best in the World” has been out of action since January 27th when he walked out of WWE and no statement was released regarding his future, but David Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Punk will indeed be returning in Chicago tonight.

Maybe a statement as to where he has been for the past month, and who will be in that triple threat match at Wrestlemania may finally be made….

Sunday March 2nd – Today’s WWE news focus’ on tomorrow’s WWE Raw, the company are said to be aware that the fans are going to try and hijack the show, as their hero CM Punk will not be present in his home town.

WWE are most likely to make some sort of statement regarding Punk whilst they are in his home town of Chicago. But we are still yet to find out if the Best in the World will return for Wrestlemania.

Saturday March 1st – Today’s WWE news surrounds the on-line rumours that WWE are changing the Batista v Orton match at Wrestlemania into a triple threat match.

Many fans were worried that the title match was going to be boring but this latest news will allow fans to hope Daniel Bryan could fins his way into the match.

It was also announced that WWE are working on matches like Luke Harper and Eric Rowan v Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose v Big E to unify the Intercontinental and United States titles.

Friday February 28th – Today’s news saw the announcement that Diamond Dallas Page will induct Jack “The Snake” Roberts into the WWE Hall of Fame in April.

Jake was sadly diagnosed with cancer last week and is set to undergo surgery, but this is some good news for him as his good friend DDP will allow him to join Wrestlings elite group and he will finally wear that infamous ring.

Thursday February 27th – Today’s news surrounds the apparent cancellation of The Authority storyline at Wrestlemania 30.

The plan was for Vince and Triple H to battle it out for ownership of the company, with someone representing Vince (obviously), but all Wrestlemania plans so far have seen Triple H v CM Punk but when the “Best in the world” left over a month ago, this was then changed to Triple H v Daniel Bryan. There hasn’t been any talk of this storyline happening since and with Mania less than six weeks away, WWE have left it to long to build it up now.

There are also no plans for Vince to return to WWE Tv.

Wednesday February 26th – Today’s WWE news follows The Wyatts and The Shield locking horns at Chicago Raw on Monday. The two fractions met at Sunday’s Elimination Chamber in Minnesota and is currently a match of the year candidate and we are only in February!

It has also been teased that Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker will be at the event that will be missing Chicago born superstar CM Punk, so WWE will be pulling out all the stops to keep the heated crowd intrigued.

Tuesday February 25th – The fall out from last night’s Raw dominates today’s WWE news with The Undertaker’s return to challenge Brock Lesnar to a match at Wrestlemania at the forefront of discussion.

John Cena and Bray Wyatt and Triple H v Daniel Bryan were also teased as Wrestlemania matches last night after the seeds were planted for the beginning of these feuds.

The Shield didn’t hint much of a break -up but it seems we will see their stable dissolve over the coming weeks and The Usos are back in the tag team gold hunt after a quick victory over The New Age Outlaws, as well as Randy Orton and Batista starting their feud.

Batista is set for a heel turn this Friday on Smackdown as he addresses the WWE Universe about their recent dislike of him.

Monday February 24th – Last night the fifth annual Elimination Chamber came to us live from Minneapolis, but for many fans it was an underwhelming affair. Again no titles changed hands and Daniel Bryan was against screwed over by Corporate Kane.

Randy Orton retained his title inside the chamber, The New Age Outlaws retained theirs, Big E retained his Intercontinental Championship and the match of the night was again left down the The Shield and The Wyatts. Even though Dean Ambrose went missing part way through and is still yet to be found, Roman Reigns fought hard for his team until the numbers game became to much and The Wyatts got the win.

Del Rio was fed to Batista, unsurprisingly and AJ Lee defended her title successfully against Cameron whilst Titus and Darren ended their feud ad Titus came out on top. As I said underwhelming, but at least we didn’t have to pay for it. Right?

Sunday February 23rd – Tonight sees WWE invade Minneapolis Minnesota for the fifth annual Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Tonight will see Wrestlemania’s main event settled as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is defended and will also see one of the most anticipated matches of the year as The Shield take on the Wyatt Family.

Saturday February 22nd – The main WWE news today comes straight off the back of WWE.com’s announcement that Hulk Hogan will be the official host of Wrestlemania 30 in April.

WWE.com also announced this morning that there will be a Divas Championship Match at Elimination Chamber as AJ Lee defends her title against the ever improving Cameron in the absence of her Funkadactyl team-mate Naomi.

Friday February 21st – Today’s WWE headlines are dominated by Vince McMahon’s decision to comment on CM Punk’s WWE status, the WWE Chairman said: “He’s taking a sabbatical, let’s just put it that way.” which has given WWE fans hope for the coming months.

Thursday February 20th – The news that former WCW and TNA superstar Sting had signed for WWE dominated today’s wrestling news. It has been rumoured that the veteran could be in line to face The Undertaker at either Wrestlemania 30 or 31.

Rey Mysterio’s contract is also set to expire this summer, many fans thought Rey was injured again last week on Smackdown when he was down clutching his knee, but “the master of the 619” returned and competed on Smackdown again this week, leaving fans thinking that the masked superstar could sign a contract extension.

Wednesday February 19th – Today WWE fans around the world awoke to the sad news that former WWE superstar Mabel, Viscera and Big Daddy V had passed away following a heart attack.

“The world’s largest love machine” was a big part of WWE that was controlled by Kurt Angle, Triple H, Lita and Trish in the early 2000’s before taking time off and returning repackaged as Big Daddy V a few years later.

In his time at WWE he was a hardcore champion and a tag team champion with Mo, as well as this he won the 1995 king of the ring competition and despite spending time in Japan and TNA, he will mostly be remembered for his time at WWE.
